Children can interact with the cross cut pages, they can identify numbers and objects or work on early literacy by seeing very basic words.
This book, the matching card game and the iPad app based upon the split book collection have a very special place in my heart. As with many young moms, I was gifted a ton of Eric Carle’s books. Lucky me! My daughter and I spent hours playing with them. First together when she was a lapsit ‘reader’, then when she could more actively participate in the page flipping. Next we moved to the matching card game and the app. I am glad we got to spend that time together and with Mr. Carle’s books.
